PURPOSE:To enable the working condition to be indicated irrespective of a duty factor D by calculating the ratio of the average voltage across a discharge gap to the average voltage across the discharge gap in non-discharge to indicate the ratio as the working condition in the discharge gap. CONSTITUTION:A transistor 11 is driven by pulses of an oscillator 13 and pulse current is supplied to a discharge gap 5 from a DC power source 7 through a current limiting resistance 9 to detect the voltage with a differential amplifier 15 and average it in an averaging circuit 17 as the output x. This output x provides voltage proportional to a duty factor D, assuming the waiting time of pulse is 0. Also, the pulse voltage of the oscillator 13 provides voltage y proportional to D averaged by an averaging circuit 19, and Z=x/y is obtained in a dividing circuit 21. The output z is connected to a voltmeter or the like to indicate the working condition without including D and provide specified values differing from each other in non-discharge and discharge. The output z has no specified value under the polluted condition of discharge gap and 0 value in the case of short-circuit so that the working condition can be judged irrespective of D. |
