PURPOSE:To improve the fastness of the Magenta dyestuff against the light by incorporating the 5-pyrazolone type Magenta dyestuff into an adjacent layer to stabilize the dyestuff formed by reacting a specific Magenta dyestuff forming coupler and the oxidant of the coloring developing agent. CONSTITUTION:The 5-pyrazolone type Magenta coupler is comprised in the layer supporting the dyestuff and/or the adjacent layer thereof to stabilize the dyestuff formed by reacting the Magenta dyestuff forming coupler shown by the formula and the oxidation product of the coloring developing agent. When applying the method to the silver halide photographic sensitive material, the silver halide emulsion may be comprised any one of the ordinary silver halide emulsion such as silver bromide, silver iodide bromide, silver iodide chloride, silver chloride bromide and silver chloride. The silver halide emulsion may be compounded a coloring matter which is well-known as the sensitizing coloring matter in the photographic industry to optically sensitize in the prescribed wavelength range, and the silver halide emulsion may be compounded a lubricant to reduce the sliding friction against the silver halide color photographic sensitive material. By applying the method as mentioned above, the durability of the sensitive material against the light is remarkably improved. |
