PURPOSE:To have a good acoustic characteristic by forming by an amorphous thin plate obtained by absolutely rapidly cooling a fused liquid of Ti base alloy incorporating Si and B. CONSTITUTION:A fused liquid of Ti base alloy containing Si below 40at%, B below 20at% and remaining part of Ti is absolutely rapidly cooled to obtain an amorphous thin plate. An oscillating member for an acoustic appliance is formed by this thin plate. A tensile strength of a Ti base amorphous material can be remarkably improved in comparison with a pure Ti, Ti-Si alloy and a density is substantially equal to that of a metal Ti. This oscillating plate requires no processes such as casting, a rolling, especially the rolling, so that does not have a directional characteristic and a good acoustic characteristic can be obtained. |
