PURPOSE:To obtain a material of high permeability by a method wherein the material contains respective amounts of Ni and Nb, and the remaining part thereof consists of Fe. CONSTITUTION:A material is used which contains in weight ratio 75-85% of Ni and 1-10% of Nb, and the remaining part of which consists of Fe. The effect for improving permeability is not clear in the additive amount of Nb less than 1%, and if the additive amount exceeds 10%, the saturation magnetic flux density does not reach 5,000 gauss and this is not practical. Therefore, the additive amount is preferably in the range of 1-10%, and permeability becomes particularly high in the range of 3-8%. Further, the method for manufacturing this soft-magnetic thin film can freely be selected from the methods such as sputtering, evaporation and plating.
