发明名称 THERMOELECTRON RATE GYRO SENSOR
摘要 PURPOSE:To measure a precise angular velocity of rotation by a short-time warm-up after the start of operation by utilizing the inertial motion of a thermoelectron flow which flies in a vacuum container. CONSTITUTION:The thermoelectron flow 10 from a cathode 3 is projected on a decelerating electrode 9 and decelerated sufficiently or to zero before reaching the electrode 9. The electron flow 10 stopped by the electrode 9 is absorbed sufficiently by a couple of detection electrodes 8a and 8b and a current flows to the cathode 3 by the same quantity. A sensor is installed, for example, in parallel to the front-rear center axis of an automobile. At this time, if the automobile is turned right (left and the sensor moves, the electron flow 10 is put in inertial motion of flying additionally to draw a parabolic line reversely to the turning direction, and the quantity of electrons absorbed by the electrode 8a (8b) increases. Therefore, the value and direction of the angular velocity of rotation of the sensor is known by detecting the value of the current flowing to the cathode 3.
