<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a toner from adhering to a holding roller, and to prevent disorder of an image, which is generated before reaching a fixing part, by applying the potential of the same polarity as that of the toner on a transfer material, to the holding roller. CONSTITUTION:A transfer material P which passes through a transfer part and carries electrostatically a toner image on the surface of the transfer material (the upper part shown in the figure) is carried in the direction as indicated with an arrow X and passes through between a holding roller 6 and a carrying roller 7. A toner has a positive charge, and in such a case, the potential of the same polarity as that of the toner is applied in advance to the holding roller 6 by a bias power source 11. In this regard, if the applied voltage is too high in this case, a resilient action against the toner becomes excessive, there is the possibility that the toner image is put into disorder, therefore, the applied voltage shall be determined suitably so that such a thin does not occur. An adhering toner is removed by providing a cleaning blade 10 on the holding roller, but its quantity is a very small quantity, therefore, no influence is exerted on a picture quality.</p> |
