PURPOSE:To re-edite easily a defective document file by detecting a read error at the time of reading a document file from an inner memory area, restoring the error arising position of document information in a correction/edition-capable shape and storing it in a working area. CONSTITUTION:A document read menus is displayed on a display device 3, and the document read operation is activated with the use of a read key 1-1. The selected document file is read out of the inner memory area 4 to the working area 5 by means of a document reading part 6, and simultaneously an error detecting part 7 acts. Detecting the read error, the detecting part 7 reports the effect to a display control part 8, and displays it on the device 3. An operator presses a document restoration key 1-2, and activates a document restoration control part 9, which requests the display of the set menu of a format for causing the control part 8 to restore. Then the operator inputs the key again according to the set menu. Upon completion of re-input, the control part 9 reads out data in the area 5 from the area 4 through the reading part 6 according to the reset format. Thus re-edition can be facilitated. |
