PURPOSE:To facilitate the color specification of printed data and to prevent a mis-setting by specifying directly printing issues for setting a color on a monitor screen and identifying and displaying the set color according to its inherent display attitude. CONSTITUTION:A color printing part 15 carries out printing in plural colors, and a dot type display part 5 monitors printing issues. When the printing issue monitored by a touch switch 25 is directly indicated on a display screen, a CPU 10 detects the indicated position in terms of coordinates on the display screen, and detects which color setting is executed among printing issues. When display color data is inputted through an operating part 6 with respect to the detected printing issue, the CPU 10 switches the display attitude of the inputted printing issue to that set previously in a RAM 12 in accordance with the display color. Accordingly the color specification of printed data can be facilitated.
