PURPOSE:To enhance the color developing performance by dispersing a photographically useful substance in the presence of a specified compound. CONSTITUTION:A photographically useful substance is emulsified and dispersed in the presence of at least one kind of compound represented by formula I. The especially preferred mol.wt. of the compound represented by the formula I is about 300-about 5,000, and a preferably usable compound is represented by formula I-1. The compound represented by the formula I is synthesized by the radical polymn. of a mixture of ethylenic unsatd. monomers each having one or more kinds of components (x), (y) or at least one kind of component (z) in the presence of a chain transfer agent. |
