PURPOSE:To obtain a diaphragm having a water proof, a high Young's modulus, a low density and a suitable internal loss by making a natural fiber, a chemical fiber or a mixture thereof to immerse an organic polymer solution, drying and hardening to obtain a substrate material and coating a main surface of the obtained substrate material by a coating of a silicon functional silyl isocyanate compound. CONSTITUTION:A natural fiber, a chemical fiber or a mixture thereof are made. To the fiber 2 an organic polymer 3 is applied to be dried and hardened and have a substrate material. On a main surface of the substrate, a coating 4 of a silicon functional silyl isocyanate compound having Si-NCO connection is formed. As said organic polymer, vinyl acetate resin, vinyl chloride resin, polyvinyl alcohol resin and acrylate resin or the like are used. As the silicon functional silyl isocyanate compound, alkyl silyl isocyanate compound, alkoxy silane isocyanate compound, silyl isocyanate or the like are employed. Thereby, a diaphragm maintaining an excellent acoustic characteristic and having an excellent water-proof can be obtained. |
