PURPOSE:To adjust independently the position and width of a burst gate pulse with a simple constitution by providing two monostable multivibrators connected in cascade and a time constant circuit connected to them respectively. CONSTITUTION:The monostable multivibrators MM1, MM2 are connected in cascade and CR time constant circuits 1, 2 having time constants tau1, tau2 are connected respectively to them and a sink pulse P is inputted to the vibrator MM1. Thus, the trailing (leading) of the sink pulse P is taken as a trigger, the time constant of tau1 of the vibrator MM1 and the 1st threshold level decides a time T1, the output of the vibrator MM1 having a leading is triggered at the time T1, and the vibrator MM2 decides a time T2 by using the time constant tau2 and the 2nd threshold level. Then a burst gate pulse (d) having a pulse posi tion at the time T1 and whose pulse width is expressed as W=T2-T1 is obtained as the output of the vibrator MM2.
