PURPOSE:To reduce metal to be used and to increase an electrode diameter by coating a ceramic-made core rod for an electrode with conductive metal which has a high melling point and burning the electrode and a ceramic pipe after running. CONSTITUTION:The electrode core rod 16 made of burnt ceramic is coated with the metal 17 to form the electrode for an electromagnetic flow meter. Then, the electrode 13 is fitted in a hole 15 for electrode fitting bored in the semiburnt ceramic pipe 12 to unit the electrode 13 and ceramic pipe 12 together. This is burnt at about 1,300-1,400 deg.C. Consequently, a measuring pipe is manufacture economically and sufficient sealing is obtained without exerting any adverse influence upon the performance of the electromagnetic flow meter.
