PURPOSE:To obtain connection which scarcely causes a transmission loss, by connecting a light source to an optical fiber of the light source side and executing photometry at a connecting point of an optical fiber of the photodetecting side, etc. CONSTITUTION:A light source 1 is connected to a light source side optical fiber 2, and at a connecting point of a photodetecting side optical fiber 5, emitted light power P1 is measured by a meter 3. Subsequently, the photodetecting side optical fiber 5 which sets a bend part 10 to a distance 2l of two times of a distance l where power of a radiation mode at the connecting point becomes a disregardable value against power of a waveguide mode is connected temporarily, emitted light power P2, power P3 of the distance l and also power P4 of the distance l are measured, and the light source side optical fiber 2 and the photodetecting side optical fiber 5 are connected regularly by matching the axes so that a loss derived by each process becomes as minimum as possible. |
