PURPOSE:To prevent the rays of light from being reflected by a converter lens unit to reach a film surface by providing a light shield member to the lens barrel of the converter lens unit. CONSTITUTION:The light shield member 19c is a collar-shaped projection formed integrally with the lens barrel 19a and provided only within a range wherein it faces the photographic optical path 13a of a main lens 13, and its peak part is made acute. This light shield member 19c provides such effect that peripheral light L projected from the main lens 13 on an upper part except an image plane frame 16 is prevented from being reflected by the outer peripheral surface of the lens barrel 19a to be made incident on a film F. Therefore, the majority of intense peripheral light L to the upper part of the image plane frame 16 which is easily generated on adverse condition on water and snow is reflected forward by the light shield member 19c and never reaches the image plane frame 16, so a sharp image having no flare is recorded on the film F.
