PURPOSE:To keep the proper amount of operating liquid in each evaporating tube and the good wetting condition of inner surface of evaporating tube and obtain excellent heat exchanging characteristics at all times by arranging the evaporating tube horizontally and providing a dam as well as an operating liquid distributing chamber in each evaporating tube. CONSTITUTION:A vapor header tube 8, provided with a safety valve 5, and a condensed liquid header tube 9, provided with an operating liquid pouring valve 6 at the upper end thereof, are attached to an intermediate partitioning plate 2, attached to a casing 1 in which fluid to be heated is flowed neighboring to heating fluid to effect heat exchange. A plurality of condensing tubes 10, slanted toward the condensed liquid header tube 9, are attached between both header tubes 8, 9 to form a condensing section while a plurality of evaporating tubes 11 are attached horizontally to form an evaporating section. The dam for keeping the constant amount of operating liquid 7 in the evaporating tube 11 at the vapor header tube 8 side is provided in the evaporating tube 11 while the operating liquid distributing chamber is formed in the header tube 9 at the condensed liquid header 9 side and the operating liquid 7 is sealed in the chamber. |
