摘要 PURPOSE:To automatically and rapidly concentrate the amount of the ion in a specimen to a proper value, by feeding a specimen into an ion exchange substance not only to detect the amount of an eluted ion but also to control specimen feed-in amount corresponding to the detected amount. CONSTITUTION:A regeneration liquid is fed in an anion exchange resin (IER) column 4 by a regeneration liquid feed-in pump 9 to regenerate IER in the column 4. Next, a valve 7 is changed over to feed a liquid specimen to the column 4 from a quantitative pump 1 and, when the anion in the specimen is caught by the column 4, the ion of the regeneration liquid equimolar to said anion is eluted into the specimen. This specimen is passed through a quartz cell 3 to perform quantitative analysis by an ultraviolet absorptiometer 5. The ultraviolet absorption due to a nonionic org. substance not caught by the column 4 is subjected to subtraction correction by performing the measurement of ultraviolet absorption by the quartz cell 2 in front of the column 4. An eluted ion amount is integrated by an operational controller 6 and, when said amount reached a set value, the quantitative pump 1 is stopped to finish concn. As mentioned above, the amount of the ion caught by the ion exchange substance is indirectly determined to control a concn. amount and the concn. ion amount can be properly controlled.
