PURPOSE:To detect the quantity of a sheet film even immediately after the sheet film is supplemented by holding both surfaces of the laminated sheet film layer with the fixed electrode plate and the movable electrode plate and detecting the static capacity during the period. CONSTITUTION:On the bottom surface in a film storing part 1, a fixed electrode late 2 of the conductive plate almost to cover the bottom surface is fixed. A movable electrode plate 4 is fixed through springs 5a and 5b onto the upper surface in the film storing part 1 by the conductive plate, can move in the thickness direction of a sheet film layer 3. A detecting part A detects the electrostatic capacity by using an RC oscillating device (a). An F/V converting device (d) converts the signal from the RC oscillating device (a) to the voltage corresponding to the frequency of the signal. When the F/V conversion is executed, the compensation of the temperature, humidity and dielectric constant of the sheet film is also simultaneously executed. The output voltage from the F/V converting device (d) is displayed by the quantity in accordance with the output voltage by using the displaying device. Consequently, the quantity displayed by a displaying device (e) comes to be the remaining quantity of the sheet film stored in the film storing part.
