The safety device, comprising, in a way known per se, a reinforcing bush 20 having a head 21 bearing on the leaf B and a skirt 22 surrounding the outer cylinder 13 of the lock, in association with a counterplate 35 interposed between the case 10 of the lock and the inner face of the leaf B, is characterised in that, in its end part opposite the head 21, the skirt 22 has a peripheral lip 25 defining a receptacle 26 suitable for reception by nesting of a bowl 42 formed in the counterplate 35. A series of screws 50 passing through the bottom of the bowl and screwed into the thickness of the skirt ensure that the counterplate 35 is assembled together with the bush 20. <IMAGE>
