PURPOSE:To perform both the forced purge and forced intake by means of a single fan and a single switching device by incorporating the switching device between the room interior and outside and the fan inlet and outlet. CONSTITUTION:The switching device 2 has in its hollow box housing 11 a damper 12 which is made rotatable about an axis passing through the center of the square in a plane parallel to the wall surface of the cube. In its first position separating the damper chamber 13 into left and right halves, the fan 1 draws in the air from the room interior via the room side pipe 3, and expels the air to the outside via the outside pipe 4 for a forced air purge. In its second position separating the damper chamber into upper and lower halves, the fan 1 draws-in the air from the outside via the outside pipe 4 to take the air into the room via the room side pipe 3 for a forced air intake. By means of a single fan and a single switching device, both the forced purge and intake of air can be performed.
