THERMAL COLOR PRINTER

摘要

A thermal ink ribbon has several different coloured materials distributed in the feed direction. A thermal print head moves w.r.t the printing paper so as to selectively transfer the colouring material from the ribbon to the paper. A colour sensor which detects the type of material on the ribbon is mounted at a distance from the head which equals the length of the ribbon's colour sections. The length of the colour sections is an equal to unity divided by a whole number part of the width of the paper.
