PURPOSE:To drive a pile with good efficiency by attaching an inside covering plate and an outside covering plate, each having given thickness and width, to the inner and outer wall faces of the tip portion of a prefabricated pile. CONSTITUTION:An outside covering steel plate 2 having a given thickness and a given width is attached to the outer wall face 1a of the tip portion of a steel tubular pile 1. Also, an inside covering steel plate 3 having a given thickness and a given width is attached to the inner wall face 1b of the tip portion of the pile 1. Frictional resistance to be produced in driving the pile 1 acts only on the plates 2 and 3 of the pile 1, but scarcely on the other inner and outer wall faces, and therefore, the pile 1 can be driven with good efficiency. |
