PURPOSE:To obtain a device convenient for carrying of a user and also suitable for securing the secret of the program by providing freely detachably and independently a memory device having a RAM and a ROM to a portable terminal device. CONSTITUTION:A main body 1 has a keyboard 3, a displaying device 2 by a LED, a LCD, etc., a printer 4, a timer 10 and a central processing unit 11. A memory device 5 has a fixed memory (ROM) 12 in which the application program is stored, and a memory 13 such as a RAM in which the collective data, etc., of the operator are stored. A decoder 14 is a port for the input output to the main body 1. The main body 1 and the memory device are mutually connected by respective connectors 7 and 5A. By connecting the memory device 5 through the connectors 7 and 5A to the main body 1, the main body 1 executes the application program stored at a ROM 12, and can fetch the data into a RAM 13.
