<p>A method of transferring NC program data in a system which includes a data transfer apparatus (11) and an NC apparatus (12), wherein when an NC program is stored in a plurality of external storage media (FPD1 to FPD3), the external storage media provided for the data transfer apparatus (11) are successively exchanged, and NC data stored in the external storage media are successively transferred to the NC apparatus (12) which executes the NC control relying upon the NC data. The method of transferring NC program fata comprises: a step which, when the NC program data is also stored in the next external storage medium (FDPi+1), transfers an NC data to the NC apparatus (12) so that a tool is allowed to escape from a work after the NC data of a final block stored in a preceding external storage medium (FPDi) has been transferred; and a step for transferring to the NC apparatus (12) an NC data that enables the tool to approach the work prior to transferring the NC data stored in the next external storage medium (FPD1+l).</p> |
