PURPOSE:To permit the recirculation use of working liquid without throwing away it, by filtering the recovered emulsified liquid and recovering surfactant and storing and separating the liquid into water and kerosene. CONSTITUTION:During electric discharge machining, the working liquid 25 such as kerosene is jetting-supplied onto the worked part of a workpiece 4 through the working-liquid feeding passage 1a of a working electrode 1. The water 26 containing the controlled addition quantity of surfactant is supplied into a working tank 2, through a pump 21 and mixed with the working liquid 25 discharged from the worked part, and the emulsified liquid is formed. When the emulsified liquid consisting of water and kerosene passes through a filtering device 27 or 28, the minute particles of working chips are separated and recovered, and surfactant is recovered through coagulation and sedimentation in a separating recovery device 29 and sent into a supply controller 30, and the liquid substantially consisting of water and kerosene is sent into a recovery tank 22, and therefore, kerosene and water are speedily separated into a working-liquid recovery tank 22. |
