PURPOSE:To carry out securely reverse check by mounting a check lever inte grally with a rod movable axially in shift operation. CONSTITUTION:A reverse check mechanism 80 is provided on the way of a rod 50 from a change lever 49 in a shift mechanism. An arcuate surface 81a swings a stopper 83 against a spring 86 by the pivoting of a check lever 81 and overlaps and abut against the tapered surface 89a of projection 89 of the stopper. The swing of the stopper 83 in the fifth speed is regulated by the back surface 82b of a case 82 so that the check lever 81 is prevented from the verstroke. Under such a condition in the backward shift the ckeck lever 81 moves backward while abutting against the tapered surface 89a of the stopper 83 and abuts against the end face of the case 82 to prevent the overstroke. |
