PURPOSE:To smoothly finish the work surface of a workpiece by supporting a vibration head section in a machining head in rotatable state and providing the machining head with a motor for rotating the vibration section. CONSTITUTION:In order to machine a workpiece W with an ultrasonic machining device, proper abrasive grains and machining liquid are supplied between the workpiece and a tool 8, a vibration head section 5 is rotated by a motor 16, the hydraulic pressure by a hydraulic pump is introduced to a cylinder, and the feed speed of a machining head 3 is adjusted through a wire 19. And the abrasive grains perform machining in collision with the work surface of the workpiece W by tool 8 vibrated with the work of an ultrasonic trembler 6. At this moment, the rotation of the tool 8 prevents the workpiece from the work surface accuracy dispersion caused by the multiformity of the end face of the tool 8. The work surface is, thus, finished smoothly, and the time required for machining can be shortened. |
