PURPOSE:To make easy the multiseam automatic welding by robot by inserting an expandable bag into the plural adjacent thin cylindrical material on the turning roll to be butt welded, by press-fitting a fluid body into the bag and by correctly circularizing with expanding the whole body of the inner face of the cylindrical material. CONSTITUTION:Plural thin cylindrical materials 1 are placed adjacently each other on a turning roll 2. The cylindrical material 1 is correctly circularized by adding uniform internal pressure and the abutting of the joining part is made better as well by inserting a heat resistant expandable bag 10 into the inner part of the cylindrical material 1 and by expanding with pushing the bag 10 with the air feeding from compressor 11. With the robot multiseam automatic welding 16 by turning the cylindrical body 1 by the claw 15 of a turning table 14 in this state a good automatic welding is performed inexpensively easily and with high efficiency. The bag 10 is protected from the welding heat by interposing a constraint member or insulating sheet between the connecting part and bag.
