PURPOSE:To enable selection of desired gear shifting characteristics through control of an accel, according to the method wherein a control gap is located between a throttle control means, actuated in linkage with control of an accel, and the kick-down control means of a continuously variable transmission. CONSTITUTION:An electromagnetic type clutch 4 is located between a crank shaft 2 driven by an engine and an input shaft pulley 3, and a belt 18 is run around an output shaft pulley 5 and the input shaft pulley 3. The two pulleys 3 and 5 are formed in a sheave driven system, and a pulley size is regulatable by means of a pressure oil fed to hydraulic chambers 3a and 5a. A primary oil pressure and a secondary oil pressure are fed to the hydraulic chambers 3a and 5a from a hydraulic control valve system 6, and a detecting signal for said control is provided by a rotary sensor 7. Further, information on a gear shifting ratio at a present point of time of a continuously variable transmission 1 and an accel control amount for kick-down control are fed to the hydraulic control valve system 6. |
