PURPOSE:To prevent liquid leakage from the peripheral region of partially cut joints by expanding and engaging cut parts of a pressed upper plate member to a lower plate member using a projection on a punch surface for pining which uses partially cut joints of lapped two plate members using a projected punch. CONSTITUTION:The lapped two plate members 11 and 12 are joined by partial cutting 15 made by the projected punch 33. In that time, the punching is incomplete so that the partially cut part 11b of the pressed upper member is expanded in the lateral direction to cut into the lower plate member by a projection 48 on the surface of the punch 33. Therefore, liquid leakage from the partially cut part is prevented, so that conventional liquid leakage such as leakage from a washer tub does not occur.
