SELECTIVE GAS SEPARATING MEMBRANE

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a membrane excellent in the separation and the concentration of a gaseous mixture which has the sufficient membrane strength in a state keeping or increasing the high substance permeability and the selective separability by using polyphenyleneoxide substituted with silyl. CONSTITUTION:Polyphenyleneoxide substituted with silyl having a repeated unit shown in a formula is used. The weight mean mol.wt. of this polymer is preferably >=0.01 million. A thin membrane having 0.01-100mum thickness can be obtained by dissolving this polymer in a hydrocarbon series or ether series solvent and developing it and thereafter evaporating slowly the solvent.
