A high-power gas laser which has a small space requirement with robust construction and high reliability, and whose excitation devices are maintenance-free can be achieved in that, within the housing body of the laser, the beam path between mutally opposite reflector arrangements is folded several times in such a manner that a number of mutually parallel-running beam path sections are produced to which a common high-frequency excitation device is allocated, which is not in contact with the gas filling of a resonant cavity.
