The invention relates to a device which is suitable for setting a printing unit, in particular for printing on tubes or similar hollow bodies, relative to a work-piece carrier, in particular a turret head, having a first plate (3), a second plate (4), and a stop (11), the printing unit (5) being finely adjustable via a tread plate (10) relative to the first plate (3) and being horizontally pivotable, and the stop (11) for the second plate (4) being arranged fixedly on the machine foot (32), and the first plate (3) being mounted movably relative to the second plate (4) or both plates being mounted movably relative to the machine foot (32) via roller guides.
