PURPOSE:To automatically and continuously remove dust, by providing a dust removing member at the position immediately before the recording paper of a platen roller is held along the axial direction of the surface of platen roller. CONSTITUTION:The rotary shaft 3 of a platen roller 1 is revolved to the direction shown by an arrow in usual by a drive motor and a dust removing member 11 is arranged at the position immediately before printing paper is contacted with a platen roller 1. The dust removing member 11 is equipped with a dust removing brush 11A for removing dust 8 from the surface of the platen roller 1 and, by contacting this removing brush 11A with the surface of the platen roller, the dust 8 is adhered to the removing brush 11A. By this method, because the dust adhered to the surface of the platen roller is removed by the dust removing member with the rotation of the platen roller, the omission or blur of a printed character can be prevented. |
