METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETECTING ROLLING FORCE IN PLANETARY GEAR TYPE CROSS HELICAL ROLLING MILL

PURPOSE:To detect rolling force on the ground side by supplying normally electric power to a rotor side by induced current through a relative rotating space between the ground side and the rotor side and operating a signal transmitter thereby transmitting continuously the measuring signal from a pressure detecting element. CONSTITUTION:The DC power source on the ground side or the DC power source obtd. by converting an AC power source to DC by a converter is utilized for the electric power necessary for the signal transmitter 26. High-frequency electric current is generated by a high-frequency oscilator and is fed to a primary coil 21 so that the AC magnetic field of the high frequency is generated between the coil 21 and a secondary coil 24 on the rotor 2 side. The induced current on the coil 21 side is induced to the secondary coil 24 side in the above- mentioned manner. The current is converted to the DC by an AC/DC converter and such DC is continuously supplied via a stabilizer to the transmitter 26.
