<p>In order to improve the method of operation, workpiece supports (10) are provided which in each case consist of a baseplate (11) which rests in a frictionally locked manner on a conveyor belt (19) and on which at least two coil holders (12) are arranged. The first coil holder (12) which is fed in the transportation direction (arrow) to a winding device is provided for accepting an already wound coil (40') from a winding point (32), and the second coil holder (12) is provided with a coil (40), which has been supplied unwound, after displacement of the workpiece carrier (10) by half a winding point pitch (T/2) for the handover from the coil holder (12) to the winding point (32) (Fig. 1a). A holding pin (15) for holding the cut-off winding wire residue (42') is arranged between the two coil holders (12). Each workpiece support (10) can be lifted off the conveyor belt (19) together, by means of a lifting device (17). A wire guide (21) having a cutting device (22) which is effectively connected to it, can additionally be displaced parallel with respect to the wire guide (21) and is constructed such that it can rotate about its own vertical axis and can tilt together with the wire guide (21) ensures correct treatment of the winding wire ends on connecting pieces (41) of the coil (40, 40'). <IMAGE></p> |
