摘要 The arrangement according to the invention is used for the achromatic correction of the extinction error in polarisation microscopes. The aim of the invention is to provide an arrangement which provides polychromatic application and guarantees an arrangement of the components which is favourable from the point of view of design and ergonomics. Correction of the extinction error is performed, as known, by the combination of a lambda /2 retarder, which inverts the rotation of the plane of vibration, and assigned rectifying elements. The object of the invention is to configure the arrangement such that the extinction error is largely corrected for a wide range of visible light, and it is possible for the microscope to have a low design with a spatially favourable arrangement of the polarisation optical operating elements. According to the invention, the object is achieved when at least one glass prism of the Berek type with a refractive index of n=3<1/2> is arranged in the polarisation beam path.
