PURPOSE:To transfer smoothly parts from a passage member to electrodes so that the passage member deflects and retreats upon mating of both electrodes and to execute press-contact welding by providing freely flexibly the passage member and constituting the member in such a manner that the member deflects and retreats upon butting of both electrodes to each other. CONSTITUTION:Projection nuts 21 with projections 22 are arrayed between both upper and lower plates 14 and 15 of the passage member 12 and are delivered onto the stationary electrode 17 in the case of welding, for example, steel plate parts 20 and the nuts 21. Since the member 12 is curved upward, there is a difference l in height between the upper plate 14 and the parts 21. The bottom surface of the parts 20 pushes down the upper plate 14 when the movable electrode 19 advances together with the parts 20 and therefore the force acts on the lower plate 15 as well via the inside parts. The difference lis annihilated while the member 12 deflects and the parts 20 and 21 are brought into press contact with each other, by which the welding of the weld zone 23 is executed.
