The process for socket production on plastic pipes with internally hollow ribs provides for the pipe to be subjected to a heating process and then an expanding mandrel (2) to be inserted, the expanding section (5) of which corresponds in length at least to the length of the socket to be produced. The process advantageously provides, before the heating, for all the individual hollow ribs (3) of the pipe (1) to be bored, preferably with an almost non-existent inclination with respect to the axis (8) of the pipe (1). <IMAGE>
