A clamping conveyor for the transport of containers with two mutually spaced transport chains, rotating in the same direction in guides and having dog elements, becomes simpler in construction for the conveyance of resilient plastic bottles in that the chain links of the respective transport chain form the dog elements and the respective transport chain is a curvilinear hinged chain of plastic material.
