Material of high resistance

The material of high resistance to projectiles striking it at high speed comprises at least two layers arranged one on the other. Each of the layers is made up of aramid yarns. In order to achieve a high level of safety from hitting projectiles even with a small number of layers lying one on the other, the aramid yarns of at least one layer are laid and bonded to one another and the aramid yarns of another layer are woven. The laid aramid yarns may be non-endless yarns or endless yarns or partly non-endless yarns and for the other part endless yarns.
