PURPOSE:To make the energization time of an ignition coil appropriate in accordance with the speed of an engine, and to restrain the generation of heat during low speed operation to reduce the consumption of power, by providing such an arrangement that the lower the speed of the engine, the more the pulse width of a crank angle pulse signal is limited. CONSTITUTION:An energization time control circuit 30 issues an energization time control signal (d) which is limited such that the lower the speed of the engine, the more the control signal (d) is limited, with respect to the pulse width of a signal pulse T04 which increases as the speed of the engine decreases. As a result, the energization time of an ignition coil 22 does not increase unreasonably even if the speed of the engine lowers, and may be made to be appropriate in accordance with the speed of the engine. Accordingly, even if the main ignition control system fails, it is possible to restrain the generation of heat which has offered a problem to be solved, and therefore, useless power consumption may be reduced. Thereby it is possible to obtain an ignition timing control device for internal-combustion engines, which is durable against the operation during a long time period over the entire operating range of the engine from the low speed to the high speed. |
