Improvements in clutch actuating systems.

The hydraulic system has a master cylinder (1) providing an output force to actuate, through a slave cylinder (4) and clutch release bearing (5) a vehicle clutch. It moves in response to a pedal operated input applied via a cable (3) and servo (2). The master cylinder (1) is provided with a sealed reservoir (16) of hydraulic fluid which is pressurised to a low level. The reservoir (16) is sealed by a flexible elastomeric membrane (20) acted upon by air in space (21) under predetermined pressure, the master cylinder (1), vacuum servo (2), reservoir (16) and space (21) being located in a single housing (6).
