PURPOSE:To facilitate the production of an organic semiconductor without any catalyst and solvent, by doping a polymer of a specified hexa-2,4-diyne derivative with an electron donating substance. CONSTITUTION:A hexa-2,4-diyne derivative of formula I (wherein substituents X, Y and Z are each a halogen or a negative group, other than a halogen, which, when combined with H, forms an acid and, when the substituent is a halogen, at least either is a halogen and the other is H and when at least two of X, Y and Z are halogens, they may be the same or different, and when the substituent is a negative group, other than a halogen, which, when combined with H, two of them are H's) is polymerized by heating or irradiation with ultraviolet rays or gamma rays to obtain a polymer having a repeating unit of formula II. This polymer is doped with an electron donating substance (e.g., ammonia) as a dopant.
