A laser resistant medical material for use in making, for example, an endotracheal tube, comprises a polymeric matrix having a reflective filler of finely divided particles therein, the particles having a metallic surface coating. In a preferred embodiment the particles are silver coated glass beads. An endotracheal tube (11) made of the material and having a suction lumen (33) to remove smoke and debris from the area of laser surgery is also disclosed. |
