摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain easily an inorg. solid material coated with a polymer, by polymerizing a monomer contg. a radical-polymerizable unsaturated bond in the presence of an inorg. solid material on which a salt is deposited. CONSTITUTION:A quaternary ammonium salt (A) selected from among cationic surfactant type monomers of formula I (wherein R1 is H, methyl; R2 is a 1-2C alkyl; R3 is a 6-24C long-chain alkyl; Y is O, NH; X is halogen; n is 2-8) and cationic surfactants of formula II (wherein R1 is a 12-18C straight-chain alkyl; R2 is H, R1; X is Cl, Br) and an inorg. compd. (B) (e.g. K2S2O8) which can initiate polymerization are dispersed in a medium. The dispersion is heated to form a salt of component A with component B. An inorg. solid material (e.g. alumina) is added thereto to deposit the salt on the solid material. A vapor of a monomer (e.g. styrene) sontg. a radical-polymerizable unsaturated bond is introduced into the inorg. solid material and the monomer is polymerized at 30-90 deg.C.
