PURPOSE:To thin off a magnetic material by a method wherein a cylinder- shaped plastic magnetic material is pinched between a round bar and a die, and a work is performed on the magnetic material using the outer circumference of the round bar and the inner circumference of the die while heat is being applied thereon. CONSTITUTION:A round bar is inserted inside the cylinder 2 consisting of a plastic magnetic material, and a die 11 is put over the outside of the cylinder 2. Then, a work is performed on the cylinder 2 using the outer circumference 31 of the round bar 3 and the inner circumference 13 of the die 11 while the cylinder 2 is being heated, and the cylinder 2 is thinned off. The cylinder 2 is made thinner and, at the same time, it is oriented by a magnetizing device.
