PURPOSE:To prevent vibration by providing the skirts at the opposite end sections of labyrinth seal contacting against the top section of a balance piston while providing teeth at least to the inside of skirt or near the top section of balance piston. CONSTITUTION:A labyrinth seal 1 is formed at the upper section of a balance piston 101 arranged on the shaft 100. The skirt sections 2 are provided at the opposite ends of the labyrinth seal 1 while may teeth 3 are formed at the section of the balance piston 101 facing against the opposite outer faces 5 near the top section at the inside of the skirt section 2. Consequently, the turning flow of gas having higher speed than the outercircumferential speed of balance piston can be braked to lower the core flow speed in the labyrinth seal resulting in prevention of the shaft vibration.
