Two-part engine carburettor

The carburettor for internal-combustion engines comprises a primary bore (1) with a stationary inlet section (1a) and primary throttle butterfly (6), and a secondary bore (7) alongside the primary one and containing a secondary butterfly (18). The secondary bore has an inlet (8-12) whose cross-section is variable by means of a plunger-type valve. There can be a connecting mechanism opening and shutting the two butterflies, with screws for adjusting the moment of opening of the secondary one dependent on the setting of the primary one.
