PURPOSE:To obtain Stirling engine which has a high degree of heat-efficiency, by providing guide plates for guiding flames from a burner for heating the top heaters in cylinders circumferentially arranged, toward the outer peripheries of the heaters. CONSTITUTION:Cylinders 30a through 30e and heat-exchangers 63a through 63e which are circumferentially arranged, constitute heaters, and are heated by flames from a burner arranged thereabove. The flames from the burner are directed toward the outer periphery of the engine body, being guided by guide plates 121 which are arranged outside of the heat-exchangers 63a through 63e with gaps 70a through 70e therebetween, and therefore, are discharged outside after being heat-exchanged with the outer peripheries of the heating sections of the heat-exchangers. Since the guide plates 121 guide the flames along the heat-exchanging surfaces of the heat-exchangers, it is possible to enhance the heat efficiency of the Stirling engine. |
