PURPOSE:To store a large quantity of initial data by storing initial data functions of which are not indicated when a power source is turned on in an external storing means through a CPU for arithmetic. CONSTITUTION:In the case where plural functions are possessed as the content of display and they are displayed selectively, initial data of function not displayed when the power source is turned on are stored in an external storing means ROM 5 through a CPU 4 for arithmetic. After the power source is turned on, the initial data stored in the ROM 5 are transferred to a display controlling circuit 2 through the CPU 4 for arithmetic according to a request inputted to a data inputting circuit 7 from the outside, and displayed on a display unit 1. Thus, all the memory capacity of the display controlling circuit can be used to process many functions such as display controlling program, input/output controlling of data etc.
